Artist and Creative

Karen has been a creative girl as long as she could remember, collecting discarded items and creating sculptures and artwork out of them. Her creativity has been a real asset in all of her ventures. She pursued both performing art and visual art through school. As an elementary teacher she used creative strategies to help struggling students succeed. During her years as a Home Educator she developed curriculum and a Flexible Homeschool Planning System.

Karen has now entered the season in her life where she is pursuing her passion for art. Exploring different mediums she has designed sets and trained volunteers to paint for local theater groups. Her fine arts mediums of choice are watercolor and acrylic along with her new interest in digital art. She has displayed several pieces in local art venues and have donated commissioned work raising money benefiting her local Humane Society and several other organizations.
