KARENCREATED SETS: FALL OPERA AT FRIENDS UNIVERSITY NOVEMBER 22-24th

I have been privileged to design and construct the sets for this years Opera production at Friends University. I have been challenging myself creatively in the area of digital art and will be using projections for the backdrops. I am excited (and a bit terrified) as I debut my digital artwork. Come and enjoy the extremely talented singers and actors in this production.

This year's opera performance is a double feature! Presenting two one-act productions:

Cendrillon, by Pauline Viardot. Cendrillon is a charming setting of the familiar Cinderella fairy-tale. Much to her step sister's chagrin, Cinderella meets her charming prince with the help of her Fairy Godmother.

Gallantry, by Douglas Moore. What if General Hospital were an opera? Gallantry is a farcical soap-opera that follows Doctor Gregg in his attempt to woo his nurse. Will his devious scheme succeed?

All seats are general admission - so you can find your new favorite seat in the auditorium! Both performances will be sung in English.
